Kathryn Shipley

Picture
Kathryn Shipley (St Charles, MO) and Louisiana, Mo native, is on a Journey that has been, totally Amazing as she puts it. “I love many Genres of music, but have been pulled toward Christian music over the last several years, and now I am switching gears a bit and going to my true love of Country music as well as keeping the focus with a Gospel/Christian feel when “the time feels for it”.

Motivations? I have many.. the support of my children and friends, and always being inspired, by my nephew TJ Washington who tragically passed away, in an accident when he was struck by a vehicle on his way home from Summer School many years ago at the age of 12.

The experiences and opportunities that I currently have, is far from being some big star or making tons of money. I am just someone who grew up in a small town (Louisiana, MO) that loves to write and sing music and lets just see what that will blossom into. I thank my best friend Karen Garner, for the nudge to lead me back to Church several years ago, because God grabbed me and I am thankful for the Blessings! I have dedicated this “season of my life” to my birth mother who passed away in December 2017, she truly is giving me the extras I need when I am feeling down or just pushing me through. She was in a Gospel group when she was much younger and I didn’t even know this until she passed.. I love helping others and learning from the “seasoned” singers and songwriters for my professional and personal growth.
